Thanks everyone for your input. I finally resolved the issue, turns out to be a bad ground, I ended up running a ground wire from the battery right to one of the bolts on the started and not she fires right up.

The machine has been giving me trouble since April. For the past few months I had 2 batteries hooked up and it also needed a jump pack. Cranking the starter kills the battery in 30 seconds. It started sluggishly 2 weeks ago but that was the last time. The unit is a 1999. I also can't find any...

I am getting zero smoke. I tried starter fluid and that made it start ding. I loss ended the fuel lines at the injectors and cranked it over and fuel came out. Could it be the injectors are clogged? Are the injectors electric? Could they not be opening? If they are not opening what could cause that?

Have a 2000 HD 4500 that cranks over but does not start. I have bled the fuel system and when cranking am getting fuel to the injectors and the fuel tank return line. I have a local shop saying it's an electrical issue but with no glue plugs I can't see how it's electrical. The motor is a 4045...
