G'day Guy's, Got a mates 1840 here with that drive problem, now the history. My mate was using it and the main supply hose split due to wearing on a part so he got a guy out to make a new hose and fit it. Then the right side refused to work. I did strip the drive motor and found some light scoring on the drive plate so honed it out with a diamond hone so I don't think that is the cause. I got the machine all back together and when testing on blocks the right side DID work nicely but once we had it on the ground it worked for a few feet then failed. This seems to tell me there could be a sticky valve in the tandem pump. As the inside of the 1840 was full of dirt and crud I do think it is possible a bit of crap may of gotten in the pump and made the valve sticky so when trying to under full pressure the valve is bypassing. Trying to find drawings is proving hopeless as is trying to identify the right valve so any help would be great. Regards Bryan
