Hi all, Looking for information on setting the injection pump more specifically the full load adjusting screw. What affect does the full load adjusting screw have on the pump or whats its purpose? I have a late 80's 843 with a perkins 4.154 series 200 engine, engine just had a complete rebuild including refurbished head. It was experiencing hard start prior to rebuild and is still experiencing hard start. Once the machine starts it runs well with lots of power and no smoke. If you adjust the full load adjustment screw "in" (clockwise) it seems to start good but revs up high and will not idle, if you back the screw "out" (counter-clockwise) it will idle and run good after you get it started. After it starts and warms up, it always starts good even with the screw backed out. All the injectors were also replaced. I not sure if the pump looses its prime and why adjusting the full load adjustment screw helps it start when cold Any thoughts or help appreciated thanks
