Read a bunch here and didn't find my answer so Ill try asking.......................... 2006 S-175 Hyd belt. How to change? I found some tips about there being a pointer on the idler wheel, I looked and see nothing like that. In fact the idler doesn't even have a center bolt showing its got a hubcap (for lack of a better word)on it. Any ideas and help would be appreciated.

I know some of the older setups didn't have a pointer and needed a bar with a pressure gauge to set the tension. If you can't see a pointer, you can always try torquing it pretty tight and see how it goes.
The newer ones do have a pointer that show how much tension you have on the tensioner, over time the pointer can break from vibration.

The S175 has a pointer style tensioner. The pointer maybe gone, it happens. Remove the bolt holding the tensioner on completely and pull the tensioner out. Remove and replace belt. Install tensioner with the bolt snug, but not tight. A 3' bar works best. Pry down until you feel it bottom out, then release it back off slightly. Tighten bolt. The pointer should be at 3 o'clock, but if gone is really not needed. Recheck after several hours. Everything I have said should be clearly outlined on a decal on the inside of the back door.
