Hi,I got a new sb200 blower for my 753 bobcat. It works great but the skids are hard on my tar and patio block, has anybody improved the skids or added something to help control the cutting edge like a plastic skid or small hard tire on the side of it? Any ideas would be great.thanks!

Other members have used hard rubber or plastic to prevent damage.
You can use Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) Polyethylene. Same stuff they use for non-marring cutting edges. The other option is caster wheels added behind the blower. You could also try increasing the size of the skid shoe to spread the weight over a larger area. Is the problem with the skid shoes or the cutting edge?

The modified skid shoes I used when I added float capability to my SB200 blower are shown on this page

Thanks for the replies, the skids are scuffing my tar and my patio block, also the cutting edge is hard to control,it sometimes shaves the tar a little. This is my first post so please excuse any dumb questions. I don't know how to view Rod's modified skid shoes, also how do You add float capability to a machine?

Thanks for the help rod! There is some very good information on your page. The skids look like a great idea, the float modification looks interesting too. Thanks again.
