I had previously post problem with my 320D accelerator problem, it has both the foot paddle and the electronic rotary dial throttle. Now nothing is working and the machine can only idle, please help if anyone has experiencing this type of problem before, thanks

Why does water in the fuel filter effect engine acceleration and not when it is idling?
because the water won't pass through the filter media , just clings to it and restricts flow. If it is cold weather of course then you get ice. Change the water separator/fuel filter first.

Because the dial throttle nor foot paddle just don't respond at all, even when I press it down or turn it, the engine does not have a slightest change in RPM. I was thinking if fuel filter was clog or watered, may be it would stall or be sluggish.....

So what have you come up with to fix it?

What ended up solving the problem? I'm having the same issue with the same machine.

thanks N_watson, I did what you did. I start checking all of wire plug and all of connections and it works.............
I know this is an old thread, but I think I have been experiencing the same problem on my 319d. I have been having a problem that when I start it up it will not rev up past idle. This machine has both a dial and foot pedal to control engine speed. It will stay at 1200 rpms. Changing the throttle does nothing. At first this was happening about 25% of the time, sometimes when I would wait a few minuets and let it idle it would rev up also if I would shut down and restart it I could get it to rev up. As of lately it has been doing it more often. Closer to 100% of the time. I have recently changed the fuel separator and the in line filter. Before I changed them the computer was de-rating the engine. Also I was getting the code 100.03 (engine oil pressure out of range high) It usually was not in my active codes but it was in the stored codes. I replaced the engine oil pressure sensor (AT85174) After I did this the machine seemed to be fixed for a few days but then when back to just idling. So I am back to the drawing board thinking it is a wire connection somewhere. I have tried wiggling all the wires that I could see and unplugging and replugging the connections. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do next or which wires relays fuses are related to the throttle? thanks
