Hi guys , new to this forum and new to skidsteer ownership. Just bought myself a Gehl 2600 mostly for moving snow and such. The problem is that my bucket settles and I constantly have to move it back up. My mechanical instinct tells me this is probably the control valve ( the main one under the seat) , also the right side wheels tend to chatter sometimes. Am I on the right track thinking it is the valve and if so where can I find a replacement or rebuild kit. Thanks in advance.

99% of the time the cylinder seals are to blame for that, not the control block. Do the simple things first, change teh seals.
As for the chatter, could it be worn chains dragging inside the chain case?

Yeah, being an old hydraulic guy in my military career I decided to do just that. Ordered the seal kits, removed the cylinders only to find out that the snap rings that hold the cylinder head on are missing the ears that have the holes for the pliers to grab. Don't know how I am going to get them apart or if someone knows of a suitable substitute ( they feel really rough when stroking the cylinder). Does anybody know of a good replacement for the tilt cylinders? Thanks for your help.

Well that is a slight problem...... Nice to know the previous owner was nice enough to re-install a broken snap ring to stuff you up..... You can always weld a tang to it to get it out.
Not loving the fact you said you can feel that is is rough when you extend and retract the cylinder by hand.....
Sadly you may need to get one made if yours is really bad inside, i would doubt they are an off the shelf size.
