Traction lock won't release

My traction lock button quit working and won't release the wheels. Also my bucket and arm are locked up. I am getting a warning signal in my Bics display (HF2-6). My manual says that the sensor is getting no signal. Does anyone know where the sensor is located and how to test it? Could the filters be clogged up? The machine feels like it wants to move and the bucket and arm feel like they want to move but are being held back.

Wire may be disconnected or rodent chewed it.

Thank you for the picture. I will check the wire and I was just wondering is there way to check the sensor?
I'm guessing you have an F series machine with BOSS. A little more info on what machine you have would be handy. First off assuming this is a F series, look at the box behind your right shoulder. That is the BICS unit. There are five LEDs on unit. All five need to be light for everything to work. Does your boom work? Let's say it does, with the seat bar and button pushed, what does the traction light do? If there is a fault, it will blink a code. If it stays out, I have a thought. Since you are getting a hydraulic code out of the blue that will not unlock brake function. I think you have an rpm sensor problem. Normal F series do not have an rpm sensor, but BOSS does. If no rpm signal, it does not think the engine is running. BOSS sets a code because it sees something it thinks it shouldn't and the brake won't release because it wouldn't if the engine isn't running. Pulling the sensor out and jamming a dowel in the hole to polish the flywheel with the engine running may solve your problem. Other wise the sensor could be at fault. First thing first, check for BICS blink code, very well could be a bad brake solenoid.

Thank you, I have a 1996 863. Model number 514415410.I bought this machine used 10 years ago and it had had the break sensor and seat sensor disconnected.it has worked fine with those disconnected.this machine would occasionally act up and I would get a long warning beep and then the machine would shut down. I would restart it and everything would work fine. This last time, when I restarted it, the traction lock button would not click.I have a feeling that that sensor may be faulty. The machine seems like it wants to go but is being held back. The bucket and arm also feel like they want to move but being held back.i've ordered new filters just in case they may be clogged. Is there a way to test that sensor. I can't find anything in my manual.

If you disconnected the seat switch, then you installed the push to operate kit, correct? I wonder then if you are having a seat bar sensor problem. The HP code could becausing a protective shutdown. Still, first thing, what do the BICS LEDs tell you.
