Depending on the bend, a machine shop may be able to straighten it or even build a new rod for you.
I have straightened a bend ram stick on my dads truck crane with a hydraulic press, still working great a few years later.
The material the ram stick is made of may be a little soft, if you get a new one made they may be able to use tougher material. The induction hardened stuff is quite good, hard outer shell and gooey centre.

I looked at that when a tree fell on my little Case and bent both rods in the lift cylinders. The shop I dealt with said they could straighten rods, but the bend they were talking about was the kind where you hear "plinks" as you roll it over glass. If the rods were bent in such a way as to be barely noticeable to the eye, they would try. Otherwise, you were out of luck. Since my were bent in the shape of a "J" I bought new cylinders. Making the rods was considerably easier and cheaper, but not as cheap as the cylinders online.

After I got the price for a new one from bobcat at over $800, I am definately heading to a hydraulic shop where I've had cylinders repaired and rebuilt in the past. I used to have a crane with a 6 foot long ram that managed to get bent more than once and straightening was definately out of the question. Same thing with this little ram as it got majorly tweeked and is beyond straightening. Thanks for the suggestion.

yea the price is beyond stupid. yea I had a local cyl shop rep stop in I handed him three. not bent rods well some were but fitting broke on barrels. he declined stated that retool to MNF new was going to be phrobitively exspenisve. so there it lies I think a new post speciffaly on pwr bob cyls may be in order,

something else to consider is most are bent due to debris backspill. B/C now offers a spill guard that mounts on back o bkt . you can see thru it , seems to have stopped a lotta the issues have also seen guys takin heavy angle iron an building guards. and of course you can always cap lines and go old school.
