I cannot get my lift arms in float position. How hard should I need to push the left pedal in the down direction? I push rather hard but it doesn't go into the float detent. What could cause this?

The detend on the lift spool is probably rusted up. If you hold the petal, does it go into float, but doesn't lock in? Or does the pedal not go far enough to get to float at all?

It doesn't go into float, just keeps the down pressure. Is the detent mechanism internal in the valve assembly? I asumw it must be and don't want to get into that. Other than the float mode it works fine. Thanks

you dont have to push hard but it def takes more than a little pressure. probably just stuck.

I think I may have found the problem. I was reading the manual and it said in the section installing the pedals to adjust them so they have full travel (I didn't know there is an adjustment). I see the pedal pivot bracket is adjustable on slotted holes, the left one was adjusted all the way back causing the pedal to be tilted too far in the down direction when in neutral. I have it all apart at this point sand blasting the pedal and pedal mount bracket while waiting for a rubber bushing from Bobcat. When I get it back together and adjusted I hope the problem will be solved.

I put the pedal back in and adjusted it, the float mode works fine now, it was the pedal adjustment combined with the worn out rubber bushing where the linage connects to the pedal.
