How to test for worn boom and bucket pins?

With all of the knuckles on these SuperBoom NH skidsteers, how can a guy determine which ones are worn and should have the pins replaced? With just over 2800 hours on my LX565, I'm thinking that I must have some worn pins on the bucket and boom knuckles but don't know how to determine if they are worn to the point where they should be replaced before they get so bad that a major problem could exist. There must be tolerances that these things have to fall within to be acceptable, but short of removing the pins and miking their dimensions, is there any other way to quickly assess their condition?

I think a 32nd or so of looseness can be tolerated but if it gets up around 16th you should look into it. The boom tip pins where the attachment plate mounts seem to be one of the most likely to go bad. Every now and then check the bolt holding the pin in so it doesn't start moving in the hole. The pins are very hard but they do wear also.
