Occasionally I have a hydraulic gurgle noise I hear. It is about every 5 seconds when I have Aux Hydraulics engaged. Any guesses. Machine has all brand new hoses now and fittings and no visible leaks on the machine or into the chain case from drive motors. I do know I have some ram packing seap in the main lift cylinders. I have a brand new charge pump from LPS. The hydraulic pressure is great according to my hydrostat charge pressure gauge with no fluctuations but that is only a low psi.

Yep might be cloged
My New Holland does the same thing when I am using the woodsplitter and continuous flow. About every 5-10 seconds or so a little noise or burp sound. Doesn't make any difference in flow and it's done it for long enough that I know it's nothing to worry about.

Yah mine doesn't seem to experience any ill effect other than the sound is annoying but still I have never checked the vent cap so maybe I will take it right off and see if it continues.

My 632 did the same thing when running the backhoe ,however I have never run the aux hyd at very high rpm. Usually around 1000-1200 so I don't know if higher rpm would make a difference or not. The cap vent would not cause it or else it would make the noise when you lift the boom fast also. However when you lift the boom you only are using a couple gallons of oil and running the aux continuously takes several gallons a minute so it could be a little air bubble getting sucked in there. Fill the tank over the full line and see if it changes. If it works I will do that too.

I already overfilled it half a gallon. I don't think that is it but thanks for the suggestion. I should try running it at a higher rpm and see if it goes away. I wonder what that would mean if it does??????

I took the cap off and it didn't help the gurgling. I will try the higher rpm tomorrow. I was able to get it to gurgle by dumping the main lift rams really fast to. I am starting to wonder if that might be my relief valve popping.

Only thing that happened with increased RPM's on the gurgle is that the pitch of the gurgle increased and the duration of the gurgle shortened.
