Hello I have a 773G series loader. I replaced the alternator yesterday with a new one. Now my headlights and dashboard lights are pulsating. they do not go out completely but rather pulsate on a regular basis. advancing the throttle does not seem to affect the pulse speed. As a side note the seat bar stays on longer than normal even if the bar is in the down position. Has anyone had this problem and if so what should a person consider. Machine runs and operates fine but lights should not do this. thanks in advance for your opinions.

You need to put a meter on it and see what the system voltage is while running. If the voltage is too high you can damage some of the electronics. Too low and things will act weird.

thanks I checked the throughput to the battery and I am getting 15.9 volts delivered to the battery. the alternator was a plug and play from a alternator shop. came with the harness installed to plug into the harness on the loader. what can I check next? mange takk

15.9v is way too high. 14.2 or so max. The alternator is defective and needs to be returned.

before taking the new alternator and replacing it again I checked the voltage coming into the alternator. there is a two wire harness that simply plugs into the respective plugs on the alternator. on the left terminal I am getting 12.8 volts ie battery voltage delivered to the alternator with the switch off. I disconnected the harness plug and the voltage is coming from the machine end of the harness and not through the alternator. Note that this is not the output wire on the upper rear of the alternator. Alternator shop says pull alternator but I am wondering if there is not something else that is not right in a switch or in the machine. Hate to jerk of the alternator if that is not the problem. What do you think thanks if looking at the alternator from the terminal end this would be the lower left terminal.
