i have a 743b that i got without an engine. i have engine mounts , coupler , ujoints , yoke , fan flywhee - l that i had to get. skid has 1900 hours on it and looks very clean. was told they left it outside and water accumulated in exhaust over time and messed up engine. am thinking i might need the wiring harness that hooks to engine and starter but will see. i have a v2203 kubota coming in to put into it. anyone ever do this before and have any words of wisdom ?

I have not done it but sounds like you have it covered don't think you will need any wire but will have to do some fab work on the mount a bit of grinding and drilling of holes I think you might need the oil pan

The swap should be pretty simple. The bolt holes are the same on the two engines.
Do you still have the old engine? ideally you swap the sump over or else you will need to make a mount for the front of the engine.
As for the wiring, it should be the same

Is the engine out of a reefer? Many people have done the swap. You do have to take it easy on the machine as the 2203 has 10hp more over the 1702.
