Thought I'd post a few pictures of my winter projects. I found them all on craigslist in a months period of time. Pretty rare as they were all a deal in my opinion since there are plenty of $5000 610's and $8000 743's.
Hopefully they come out right as I can't make paragraphs with my safari browser. The 753 has 1900 hours and was landscaper owned. Needs a few little things fixed and could use some paint.

As you can see the 773 was a SALT loader! very unfortunate as I think they are a great machine. It came with 2 buckets (one not rusty). Heat, cab, power bobtach. 2500 hours. Turbo model.
I paid $6000 for it...for anyone thinks I'm nuts for buying it. Runs and works well, lots of power. Plan is to repaint it and cut out any of the rot and weld new steel in...looking at plasma cutters because of this one.

Next is the 883.

2900 hours. heat, cab, power bobtach. Timing belt is due. I froze plowing snow with my open cab 873 last winter, so this winter should be more enjoyable. Best part is I sold my 873 for $1000 less then I paid for this one and got a much better machine in my opinion.
I like having a large frame machine around for heavy lifting. I do some site work as a side business but work as a heavy equipment mechanic at a local rental place. These are basically something to keep me busy as I'm a workaholic..haha. I bet bobcat dan will cringe looking at the 773. -Mike

It's a shame you lost 1k on your other machine.... Hopefully this one will be a good project.
A plasma cutter is gold for some jobs! I'd never be without one now. A torch has it's place, but a plasma cutter is cheaper to run and you don't have to spend as much time cleaning the cut to weld it.

Nice projects, Mike.
I look forward to seeing the transformation on the 773. They are one of my favorites, too.
That 883 looks like a sweet machine!!
Cheers,
SR

Got the bucket off the 773 last weekend. It took a Rosebud on the torch, a can of yield penetrating oil, a snap on air hammer and about 2 hours. The pins freed up and got the power bobtach working.
