This is a new one to me. I went to move my LX885 last night, and had no panel display, but when the key is turned to on or acc, the warnning beeper sounds continuously whether there is someone in the seat or not. The engine will turn over and fire with the key in the start position, but as soon as you let go of the key the engine dies. Where should I start looking? The panel did flash briefly at a few points and I could hear a relay kick in and out but it was already dark out and I didn't go any farther with it.

Sounds like your control board died. Does your board have silver or gold trim around it? If it has silver, the boards probably junk. Those boards had a lot of problems. Check all your fuses in the engine comp and operators area, but my guess would be a bad board.

Well...It amazingly fixed itself overnight. Worked perfectly today

Bad connection in there someplace wait till you hit a bump
If it fixed itself overnight, could very well be loose connector and also take the panel down and clean the circuit board good. A build up of dust and moisture can make strange things happen too.
