Hey everyone. Just purchased a 371. Cool little machine but needs some work. Its been sitting for quite a few year and now I am trying to get it up and running. I replaced the fuel pump and clean the carb, runs pretty good now. trying to figure out the hydraulics and steering. does anybody have any advice on this machine or any kind of manual that you could email me. Thanks for all the help in advance

OM is the best for this kind of info hopfuly he will be along soon
That would be great this is my first skiddy ever so I am trying to gather as much info as possible. I got it for only 150$ from a coworker and so far money very well spent. the hydro oil is pretty milky an needs to be changed. I have acces to hydraulic oil for free so I think I will use that besides atf. and the clutches need adjusting from what I read. the one question is when I first got it it lift fine but slow but not barely at all. I check the dipstick and its low would this cause that or do pumps just burn up that quick. thanks again

Your best bet on a manual is Ebay. Some let you download one as soon as you buy it as well as mailing you one. Money well spent.
As for hydraulic oil, Yes being low will effect hydraulic operation. milky oil does indicate moisture and does needs to be changed. Most of those machines call for plain 10w30 engine oil in the chaincase/reservoir. They use wet clutches for drive. ATF or hydraulic oil could damage the clutches. Stop by your local Quick lube and see what they would charge for 5 gallons( or however much you need) of bulk oil. You can probably save a little money there.
The clutch adjustment is critical for proper operation. When properly adjusted, those clutch machines drive suprisingly well. If not, well, thier a pain in the ass to operate. When you get it sorted out Im sure you will like that machine.

I believe atf is recommended for the clutch machines, my 610 had it in it. A heavier oil may take a lot of pressure on the clutch levers in cold weather to make them drive.

The service manual for my 310 specifies 10w30 or 10w40 class SC,SD or SE. I run 10w30 in my 310. It drives fine in cold weather.
If the service manual for the 371 says ATF is OK, then by all means run it. If not, stick with what it calls for.
