opinions on 883

Im curious on the differenes of an 883 and and 873. Found an 883 locally for 12k. Heated cab, 2900 hours. They appear to have a 2750lb lift capacity. Is it just an 873 with counterweight? Im looking to upgrade my 873f. Im also Thinking about s250's as well.

An 883 is basically an 873, what they did to add lift capacity, I don't know. I think, but not hold me to this, I think the big difference was 883 were high flow. I have only seen a few in the wild.
