I have an older GEHL 3510 (I wish I had the serial number but someone painted over it) with the KSG-411 ford engine. I am looking for points, condenser, rotor and distributor cap. I see that this engine has a Bosch distributor, JFU4, 0231170307 and ford part # 71BB12100BHA. If I do a search for the Bosch number I came across a list of ford engines, one engine is a 1970 Escort that used that same Bosch distributor. My question is can I use the same ignition parts like the points, condenser, distributor cap and rotor on that KSG-411? Or, does anyone have a place where I can order parts for that old Gehl?

Okay, I called Advanced Auto and gave them the Bosch number from the distributor. They crossed referenced that distributor to a 1970, 1.6L Mercury Capri, I ordered the parts for under $20. I'll install everything hopefully this weekend and just in case anyone else is interested to see it it works, I'll update this thread.

Good to hear they could cross reference the parts, a lot cheaper than dealing with the dealer.
Let us know how it goes when you get them installed.

Well, if any one is interested, I bought ignition parts for the ksg-411 from St. Joesph's. I found out that the Bobcat 642 & 742 used the same distributor. Bobcat had two different distributors for that model and you would need parts for the "brown" cap. The part numbers are: Part NO. Description 6630392 DIST CAP 6630394 CONDENSOR 6630524 POINTS 6630393 ROTOR Now I am trying to locate a gasket kit for that engine, I am almost wondering if it would be easier to replace the engine.
