I have an older model of a TL130 that wont start when I plug the stop motor relay in. I have changed the stop motor, ignition switch, checked all of my fuses and even tried different relays. I can jumper the stop motor to the fuel on position to allow for start but when I connect the relay it shuts down instantly. I have called Takeuchi down in Georgia and had no luck. They are stumped. I thought it might have been the cluster gauge but after connecting the jumper in the back it did the same thing. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....

After countless hours on the phone with Takeuchi, it came down to the cluster gauge being changed out. When I took the circuit board off it was almost evident where the problem was. Wish I had a proper schematic to repair that part of the unit.

Glad you found the issue, but not so great that it was the cluster.
How bad is the board? is it just corrosion or component damage?
If it's just corrosion, it is possible someone handy with a soldering iron may be able to fix it.

I took the cluster apart yesterday and found 2 IC chips that appeared to be damaged. I can desolder them but, not sure if I can get the proper chips. As you prob know Takeuchi doesn't make some stuff public .....

Sadly most don't make it public....
If the chips are not programmed, it is possible replacing them will work if you can get the numbers off them, but the other question is, why did they pop?

Didn't bother to look into why they popped. They served their time. Luckily we had another unit that has an engine issue. There weren't any numbers on the board so I decided to scrap what was soldered and go from there. Thanks for trying to help
