Anybody have a good parts source for the Peugeot engine? I have a 751 that threw a rod and I'm hoping to get the crank machined and find a set of bearings for a rebuild. Also going to need gaskets, etc. Where's the best place to look?

Best place I can think of is UK eBay. There are lots of Pugeot cars running the same XUD9 engine in the UK.

Swap a Kubota in it and be miles ahead.
An engine swap is ideal, but if the damage is minimal, go ebay in the UK, it is far cheaper than locally available parts. You may get out if it for a few hundred bucks. The issue is, why did it throw a rod? Did the head crack and allow coolant in causing hydro lock?
They are a very nice engine, but expensive to work on.

The pukes were junk from day one.

I heard back from the machine shop, the crank can be saved but the issue is with finding bearings. I have the machine which threw a rod because someone gave it too much ether when it wouldn't start one winter, they actually made that mistake twice. First time they gave it ether it ended up breaking the cam in two places and the head was replaced, the second time it threw the rod and that's when they decided not to fix it and I got it. I also have a parts engine with a hole in the block in the same spot, not sure why that one came apart but it snapped the oil pump off when it did. I picked it up cheap for parts from a craigslist ad. The whole plan I have here is to have the crank done, new bearings, and make one engine out of the two. It'd be a lot cheaper than replacing the machine and a repower isn't an option, at least not for me.

Go for ebay.co.uk and talk to some of the people with XUD9 parts, they will have to be able to get over sized bearings.
I can't see why you can't get one good one out of two.
The big issue is, why did it need ether in the first place? are the bores too worn? You may be up for a set of rings too.
