We have a 2010 L175 that has 2700 hours on it and has a spun rod bearing. It has a N844-T 2.2 L diesel engine in it. There had been no evidence of low oil pressure or any issues, so, I'm real curious as to the cause of the failure. Anyway, we use it on our dairy farm, and run two machines, usually trading for new every 2-4 years. We pulled the engine out (getting in pretty deep for farmers, :) Would like to get this thing going without spending an arm n leg. To be honest, I'm a little intimidated with pulling the crank. It's different than what I'm used to.....has to come out the back end of engine it appears. I need advice/help on the overhaul. Any good service web sites out there that could help? Or leads on reputable overhaul kits, tech manuals, etc.?? Thanks

Yeah, these engines are a litte different than many that you are probably used to seeing. You have to unbolt the crank bearing carriers and slide the entire crank out. Then you can unbolt the bearing carriers once the crank is out. These engine dont have the best reputation so 2700 hrs isnt terrible. Was it low on oil or overheated? Those two things kill these engines. I have bought many skidsteers with this engine that are blown up. We rebuild the engines then resell them. I would recommend buying a service manual. You can just buy the engine section of the manual. Probably about $50. I do sell engine rebuild kits. I have had good luck with them personally, and can give just about as good a price as anyone.
