Hello, I have a L553. Lately when i go to start it, it just clicks. When i use jumper cables to the starter it spins over. I did try using a voltmeter on the solenoid and it shows 12 volts when you turn the key on the side that goes to starter. Going by the typical bad solenoid from the clicking sound, can it be bad but still allow voltage to go through? Im new to skid steers and wanna make sure theres nothing else to check before i start changing parts. Thanks in advance guys.

Sounds like you may have a bad cell in your battery. Do you have another battery you can try before you buy another one. Or take yours out and have it load tested at an auto parts place

There is a starter relay and a solenoid. The solenoid is mounted on top of the starter and the relay is on the other side up by the fire wall. The key send 12v to the relay which sends it to the solenoid. You may have a bad wire from the relay to the solenoid.
