Hi all My first post here. I was running my inlaws ls 160 for about a half hour tonight and was backing up and it just quit. It tuns over, all the fuses are good and the fuel pump is pushing fuel fine. Any ideas how I could troubleshoot it? I'm by St Cloud, mn. Thanks!

Start with the simple stuff. Replace the inline and regular fuel filter............................ Turn the key on and pull the wire from the fuel shut off solenoid on the back side of the injection pump housing. Check if you have power there........................No power, The early machines used a start interlock relay that could have failed. The later machines have a diode which also could have failed. To tell what setup you have look at the instrument panel. Is the face of the panel metal with square corners or is it plastic with rounded corners?

rounded corners. Thanks Mike. I spoke to a farmer here and he said the 99 model has had trouble with the seat belt safety relay. there is a manual override switch to in the upper right cockpit with 4 fuses and a toggle override switch there. That switch allows you to drive the machine but not use the hydraulics. i flipped it and it started. It turns out the seat belt wiring came loose. Fixed it. Thanks for taking the time to help!
