2008 420 Cab won't tilt

I'm struggling to tilt the cab on this's new-to-me machine. I am following instructions in manual and can start to lift the cab but cannot keep it moving to tilt fully. I am thinking of using a come-along to pull it up, but don't want to tear it up if I have missed something. Any suggestions?
