The bucket moves normally up and down but bleeds quickly down and dumps. Is it only possible this is the cylinder or could it possibly be bypassing through the valve and is there an adjustment? also the machine creeps forward when at an idle can that be adjusted or is that what the brake is there for i dont know bobcats is this normal? I can hold the controls to center and the machine does not move until i let go, can live with the brake cant handle the bucket bleed.

The creep can be ajusted out on mine just needed the four pucks and fliped the pintal arms over but check for wear must block up the whole thing to ajust or you will run everything over while it's up pull push wiggle and rotate tires for play ........could be many things for the bleed down but would start by jiggeling the right stick back and forth

Bleed down is most likely worn cylinder piston seals. These are easy to get at the dealer or a hydraulic shop. This is a common problem, search the forum for other posts on this topic.

You just got it going and new fluid give it some time to bleed the air out before you tear into it

normally its just the packing in the cyl . the 743 though has a port relief anti cav valve that has been known to come apart. reseal cyl look for pieces and parts in barrel. if reseal don't work look to port relief. if port relief came apart you need to find the pieces of it [don't freak its just a 3/16 ball probally in the tubeline.

Slave; my bucket would bleed down in about 10 minutes, rebuilt the cylinders with new seals fixed the problem. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to do both cylinders. My seals kits was a little less than $27.00 plus shipping and tilt was bait higher at $46.00 I think you can beat that price if you take them apart and go to local hydrualic shop and check prices. It's amazing the difference in how my boom reacts now. Go for it and rebuild yourself it's is fairly easy. Have a great day!

Hey, so after taking the cylinder apart I found it did not even have a seal on the piston at all. The hydraulic shop had the parts and gave me the info on heating up the seal in oil before putting it on the piston then hose clamp it for a bit. Works perfect, yahoo.

Wow, someone didn't do ther job when they last worked on the cylinder....
The way i do seals is to stretch them by hand, they are far tougher than you may think. I then use cardboard and a hose clamp to squash the seal back into shape when on the piston.
