I have a 1998 763 Bobcat and it started leaking hydro fluid from a round silver part on the back of one of the pump. It had a green cap over it but the fluid coming out of the hole in the middle blew off the green cover. Any ideas what part that is and why it's leaking from that hole?

Back up a little and take a picture if you can so the whole valve assembly shows.
If you need a hand send me a e-mail to the address in profile, I am only a couple miles from the gun club and could stop by on my way to town.

the parts are about ten bucks. takes about three hrs to do and unit will be clean when you get it back bring it to the dealer. about three hundred bucks. do not try to save money buy removing control valve. we cant test it out of unit. easy fix . there are some special tools involved. [detent ball pliers/ replacing plug in lift spool etc] as ive seen countless times the avg joe just jacks it over.

That is your control block.
You need to remove the linkages and the covers. The spool can be pulled out the back. You then pick the seals out, front and back, install new seals and push the spool back in.
That is a very basic explination though. It's best to drain all the fluid you can before you start or else there will be a larger mess.
