I recently purchased a 1998 LX485 from a friend with just under 1350 hours. He used it gently and sparingly. I found that the alternator was bad shortly after purchase and replaced it but had the battery disconnected for several weeks. I installed new alternator and it runs and charges perfectly. But... I noticed after doing a small job that I have only 9 hours on the hour meter now. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Can I reset it to the proper number? How did it manage to zero itself?
