Check all the fuses in engine comp under black box on wall and inside cab on right side above your head. Take out panel and see if you have voltage anywhere if you do not there is a wiring problem more than likely.on that old of a machine also check all the grounds. Sometimes control valve solenoids bewteen your feet will cause backfeed into the cluster and make it unoperable, try unplugging those and see if the cluster turns on then. new holland mechanic 10+ years

Did all you said to do and still no good.Only runs when the switch is on service. If i switch it to run it cuts out.

If you have a friend with a LX or LS skid loader, see if you can connect your instrument panel into their machine. You don't have to mount it, just plug it in. If your instrument panel has grey outlines around the panel lights and fuel guage then it is very likely the panel is bad. If I understand your description there are not lights working at any time.

Thanks Mike Did check the cluster on a friends machine.. No lights or gauges working. Didnt try to start his machine in fear of blowing fuses etc. as he was using his machine. Now its trying to pick up a used panel at a reasonable price. Thanks again

If your panel has the grey outlines you can not just put in a different panel. The opening for the panel on the early machines was smaller than the units with the gold outlines. NH has a special panel for those early machines. I have never tried it, but maybe you can enlarge the opening for the gold panel if you have the grey outlined panel.

Thanks for all your help. installed new cluster panel . Fired right up. Now its back to my original problem with the machine before i parked it. Will only lift when revved high..Changed O Rings in all the pressure valves , taught that would make a difference as some of them did not look so good but i am afraid not. Will lift a little better as i tilt the bucket which makes me think that it might not be the Lift pump. Any taughts.
