Hi all, I just purchased an 825 and am looking to update/upgrade the tires and rims. It has 8.25-15's on it now. It looks like they are OEM. This tire size is becoming hard to find without breaking the bank. Comparing the 825 to a modern S185 with 10-16.5's it looks like they could interchange. Although the rim offsets are different, the new rims are deeper to the outside rather than inside so they shouldn't rub. Both appear to have 6" center holes and 8" stud centers. Has anyone else done this conversion? I found a little information in the forums but not enough. Thanks

I bought my tire and wheels from Midwest Equipment. They were very helpful and seemed quite experienced on the matter. They also have pretty good prices on tires/wheels.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will check with them. Did you switch sizes or were they just helpful?

Compare overall diameter if you go to much taller you will loose torque but gain speed. My wheels come from local tire shop. Anyone have a wheel you could try

Thanks for all the feedback. 12x16.5s appear to be the way to go. Although my budget was for tires only and not tires and rims. Oh well. I have noticed 3 different insets for rims. I am going to try the standard 8 on 8, 6" center, 9.75" width and and 16.5" diameter. Now researching what style tire to go with. It will be used in the snow as much as dirt. The Solideal Lifemaster appears to be the best.

Hey Crank, Welcome to the 825 club. It wasn't a popular model, but it seems that there are still a few of these older machines out there. I have one as well, and from everything I have read they originally came standard with 10-16.5's I guess they could have come with 8.25-15's but i've never seen it. Mine has 16.5's as well, the do fit the machine well from a proportion standpoint. If you have any other questions about the 825 I have quite a but of info. Brian
