Hello all, new to the forum and thought I would run this by here. I have an 01 85XT that ive had for a few years now and its been a great machine. Ive come to the point where I would like to buy some attachments that require high flow which it does not have. I dont why they would make a machine this size without it being standard. Ive read where people have added it afterwards and was wondering if someone makes a conversion kit for this, pump, lines, etc. I really dont want to get rid of it and buy another unknown used machine. I have a good size chunk of land I am clearing and would like to pick up a used mulching head for it.

Upgrading the pump really isn't an option to give higher flow......
The upgrade has been done on machines that had it as an option, but not one that did not have it available from the factory. The cost is the biggest issue too, you need a bigger pump, bigger lines, possibly the control block will not handle the flow too.
Honestly, if you want the extra flow, buy a machine with it and sell your current one.

Thanks, I figured thats what I would probably be looking at. My main goal was a mulching head. I had one in mind used local to me. Maybe I will just look for a standard flow mulcher. I understand they make them but are they worth a damn? I like this machine alot, just hate the thought of selling it and buying another one true with issues. I found a 450CT shortly after I bought mine that went at an auction hear locally for $15k with 3000 hours. Probably would have been mine if I waited a little longer before my purchase.
