Hello, is there any way ( I dare there is) to increase the hydraulic relief pressure on a Case 1840 from the standard 2300psi to say 3,000psi? We are looking into a Hahn wood splitter for our 1840 but there is no point in getting one if we cant drive it. If we cant safely increase the pressure it would mean getting a later model at great expense which we dont really want. Thanks in advance.

Increasing the pressure can be good and bad. The hoses may not be rated for 3,000PSI that you want to get it up to. They may fail, but they may not.
You will still be able to drive the splitter, it will just not have the same splitting power.
The other possible issus is the pumps rated output pressure. It "may" cause it to fail with the extra load on the gears/vanes. Remote possibility, but it's still there.
