Hello all.New to the forum.I am having trouble with my bucket and back hoe attachment staying hooked. If I back drag with the bucket or apply a good bit of force using the back oh the pins become unhooked and they come off.Any thoughts? Thanks.

Are the attachment holes on the bucket worn? THe pins should hold the bucket/attachment on tight, even with back dragging.

I thought that was the problem because the previous owner make a ohm made quick attach plate and the bottom doesn't meet nice.there is a gap about 1/2 inch.but the back hoe isn't worn at all.Do the pins wear fast or is there an adjustment setting for the springs?

The pins will not wear fast, how far do they stick out of the attach plate? it should be a good inch or so to ensure it had a good grip.

Less than that on both attachments.I can understand on the bucket being homemade plate but the back hoe is a factory mount. The pins aren't broken or chipped.Should there be some tension when I push the levers down to lock in?Just to mention thank you for all your insight and help.

I don't know the setup your has, but there should be some tension so they push out and don't get pushed back up when there is a load on them.
The bobcat machines i have use two pins that go downwards. They are round with about a 30 degree angle on the back, this pushes up against the locking tab on the bucket holding it tight. The pins are spring loaded to an extent to hold constant pressure in it so it will not be pushed back up.

Time for bailing wire or bungee coards
That's the thing that confuses me.The handles don't pop up they stay down with the pins. When I tried my friends bucket the left side was so hard to push down I hade to use my foot to get it down. But the bucket stayed on.When I tried this one the handles seemed to just fall down in the holes.Anyone wanna buy a skid steer?im so frustrated I told my wife I had to go for a long drive cause my temper sometimes gets the best of me.
