Just bought a 611 for $2500 this is my first Skidsteer and dont know to much about it. Hope im not in over my head. Found out it has a Hydraulic leak and doesnt want to turn and moves back and forth very slow. Any advice or common problems? Im going to the dealer today to buy the manual. Is this a good machine? Any advice is appreciated.

The 611 is a variable speed belt driven machine with clutches for steering. You'll need to make sure the drive belt sheaves are working properly first as that controls the travel speed. After you have that right it may need the clutches adjusted to make it turn correctly but most likely most of the problems are with the belt drive.
There are some member here that are more familiar with the 600 series machines than me and will likely be able to help you thru any problems.

Alex....OM has given you good advice....the speed and turning problems will be found in the belt, variable speed sheave or the driven sheave.....all must be in good working order. Clutch linings would be next and should be checked regardless as you don't want to destroy clutches. Hydraulic leaks, depending on their location and severity, may or may not warrant my attention.

Also.......I'd buy the manual on E-bay...... MUCH cheaper.

Thanks for the response. Bought the manual online for $10 rather then the dealer charging $110. So I looked into the leak a little more this weekend and found where the leak in the hydraulic fluid was coming from so I bout bought the gasket in a tube and fixed the leak waited a few hours and started her up and it was working so much better until I put her into second gear and oil started leaking every where so I think im gonna have to get a rebuild kit for the variable speed control valve. Didnt look into the clutches I guess thats the next step after I fix this Speed valve... How hard is it to work on those clutches?

Also going to get a belt. Any advice on where to get one besides the dealer? They want $120 I feel like thats a little over priced. Thanks For all the help.

Most of the problems are with the 2 O rings in the vari engine clutch 1 dollar each at bobcat 1 external 1 internal snap ring . use a socket as a driver on the brass . simple once you do it .Gearbox

Alex....changing out the belt is a serious task, something I rarely do unless absolutely necessary. Also I find it very unusual that the valve would be your problem (certainly not impossible) but typically when you gear up the speed and have hydro oil fly all over it is the variable speed sheave leaking, not the valve. The oil will leak out of the sheave onto the belt and the belt throws it everywhere often soaking the valve and giving the appearance of a valve leak....you're there, I'm not, but just be sure. If it should turn out to be a 'sheave' leak....then I would change the belt, otherwise....it would have too be one REALLY bad belt before I'd under take that job. Clutches are fairly easy....pull tires, pull cover and there they are.

I would strongly advise against using a socket as a "driver" as you will deform the brass gland and possibly mar the cylinder wall of the sheave....use PVC instead.
