My 643 runs great, has plenty of power. i pick up 1500 lb granite steps and stuff with it all the time. but if i try to lift something thats really heavy, it doesnt do it. i thought bobcats would just lift up until they tip forward? i know i need lift arm seals and one of the hoses to the tilt has a small drip....could that be it? i drive into piles of dirt and stone and it will lift that fine, i'm talking like lifting concrete slabs and stuff/ is that normal?

yes, the tires will spin for forever. plenty of power. it's really not a problem because it lifts up everything i need it too, i am just wondering if something isn't right.

is it just like a safety thing or something? maybe this is the difference between a 643 and a 743 because they are identical
It could just be the machine sitting at a slight upward angle at times making it hard to lift the back end up during heavy lifts. I know CAT machines have limiters that will act as you mentioned, but I dont think bobcat units do.

If you can hear it bypass when trying to lift a heavy load you just are at the limit of the relief valve.

I think they are designed to not tip forward. There is no need for them to have enough power to tip forward.
The only way i can get close to lifting the back of my machines up is to try and lift something too heavy and use the tilt cylinder, not the lift ones.

thanks guys, yes i can hear the bypass valve, so it must just be all it can do. like i said it works great, moves snow like a champ. i just wasn't sure if it should be able to lift more. thanks
