642 bronze filter?

Name: chris Unit: early 642(heavily modfied) Engine perkins 4.108 with 3249f010 55hp @ 4000 rpm pump Bought it years ago with a few issues and got it to run pretty easily and used it for a few years. Then the drives quit on me took the vickers TA1919v1010? Pump out and apart no problem found droped it off at bobcat of springield illinois no help. Jumped on this site found the bronze filter in the pump took it out runs good. Then the injection pump locked up the same day. That was 2 years ago. So I finally found a pump and putting it back together. My question is what is the part number for the bronze filter in the port block so I can order it and put it back in befor I get this thing working again. I don't want to have to rebuild the drive pumps because of a screen that should have been there!

Do you still have the filter? give it a good clean and blow down with compressed air.
Newer machines do not have this filter, so i highly doubt it would kill your drive motors down the track.

Unfortunatly no I don't still have the filter. When the injection pump locked up sheered the quil shaft and stoped running I threw my rag at it let the cab down and walked away. So that part has been misplaced since then. I did however get ahold of loader parts source and talk to them today. They think they have one. I would run it without but all the crud and chunkys I found behind the screen tells me it was there for a reason.

I think it is the same one as the 743 the bobcat #6563995 I went out to the barn and got it still in the box bobcat sold it to me and mine does not need it send me a prepaid box and will send it to you

There is a long version and a short one of those Bronze filters. Don't have any idea which one you need but bobcat gave me the long one for my 632 and it did not fit, it took the shorter one.

Your right Jerry there are some differant ones did some looking and the one I have will fit his just has to answer his phone I do not text Ant
