I hope you put the fluids back where you found them after you got it running. Somebody like that could be a menace with a functional chainsaw!!Not a bobcat issue but, I fix chain saws 4 wheeler s mowers etc. today guy comes in says his chain saw wont run. I take a look, he's right It wont run. But as soon as I drained the gasoline from the bar oil tank and the bar oil from the gas tank and refilled with the proper fluids them it fires up! LOL. You'r right, stupid people..... everywhere, I think they are taking over. Ha-Ha.
Oh, believe me and a co-worker debated on whether or not we should have give him back a running saw!! lolI hope you put the fluids back where you found them after you got it running. Somebody like that could be a menace with a functional chainsaw!!

I guess we are all capable of such acts. I my self one time was working on a old D-8 Cat with a hand crank start pony motor. I had to put gas in the pony's gas tank. the filler pipe is a 1" pipe through the hood, but so is the exhaust for the pony motor. Take a guess where I poured the gas (both engines were not running when I did this). I only poured in about a quart or so and most ran out the drain hole on the pony exhaust elbow (I still wasn't aware of what I just did). A quick spin of the hand crank....WOOOF, the one time the damn thing started first try!! Luckily the fire was small, and easy to put out throwing some dirt on it!!! LOL Probably the closest I came to winning a "Darwin award". Ha-Hahehehe i like it.
The thing is, it does happen.
We had multiple cans of fuel at home, my dad and I were cutting up a rather large log. He filled the tank up and I proceeded to cut away happily, the saw was getting lower on power and kept conking out till it stopped running all together. There were two tins, one was 2 stroke fuel, the other was not, anyone want to guess what tin of fuel was picked up? We now have totally different tins for these fuels now, so it won't happen again.
Thankfully it was a Stihl and replacement pistons/rings/barrels were available for a very good price. About $60 later, the saw is up and running as good as it ever did.
