This unit I have has had it's fuel solenoid replaced about 5 times. They last a short time and then crap out. Anyone know why this happens?

See if you can put a simple lawn mower type cable on it and get rid of the pain
I noticed that the fuel line going from it is routed that there is a kink in the line. Maybe yours is that way too causeing the pump to over work pushing the fuel through. Just a thought. Also make sure you have a good ground that is not a little loose to the pump.

Old thread, did you get the problem fixed. These solenoids have to be adjusted so they pull all the way back, also they have 3 wires with the key turned on one should have 12 volts ,that one holds the solenoid on at low amps when running . Another wire should get 12 volts only when the starter is turning, that one will kick the solenoid into the run position and will take 30 amps or so. The 3rd I think is a ground wire. Make sure the wire that energizes with the started turning goes back to no volts after the engine is running, if stuck on that would burn out the solenoid fast.
