I need a new 3 spool monoblock hydraulic control valve for my Thomas. I called a dealer and he wants $1800 for one which I think is totally rediculous. I see them for $250 to $350 on the internet and was wondering if anyone has replaced theirs with one off the web

If it was the same size, i see no reason why not. It may take some tinkering to get the lines to match up exactly, but i'd like to think it could be done. The biggest issue is seeing if the spools have the same stroke and same distance from each other.
The ports may be slightly different, but if you can bend your lines some, you may be able to get it in there and hooked up again.

Is it a Walvoil valve? You can call Thomas directly to check prices. http://www.thomasloaders.com or 1-506-278-5695. I usually talk to Al, he's one of the new owner of THOMAS.
