Would like to introduce myself. Live in Southern Illinois and have owned a 2800 hour standard flow T-250 with for almost 7 years now that replaced a Cat 416 backhoe. I generally have a root rake with grapples on it that is used for clearing brush and loading logs. I bought a Marshall tree saw last winter that I have been using to clean up fence rows and overgrown areas during the winter on my farm and have recently talked to my insurance company in the event I want to do some contracting with it. Hope to upgrade to a hand control machine sometime in the future.

Welcome alot of good info and great folks here
Welcome to the site.
If you do your own servicing/repairs on your machine, think very carefully about a hand control machine, a fair bit needs to be done by the dealer if it was to fail. Foot controlled machines are more forgiving for us normal people.

The machine has only been to the dealer one time since I've owned it. Other than an idler (RF) , an original 10 year old hydraulic hose and a fuel pickup the machine has been pretty much trouble free. I do the preventive maintenance thing pretty much by the book. I was thinking about the hand controls as a relief to my 60 plus year old knee tendons. Bringing the seat forward , wearing boots with heels and taking a break now and then helps that out a bunch, though. I appreciate the heads-up as my closest Bobcat dealer is an hour and a half away.
