Hi guys, sorry this may get a bit wordy because I've been on another forum waiting to get my password fixed on here. I bought a 1996 bobcat 863. I was told it's hi-flow...but no idea how to tell. I'm new to this equipment. It was smoking a bit. Got told it was injectors...3 out of 4 were dripping, so I rebuilt all 4. Still smoking. Only ran about 10 minutes since new injectors. Took it to bobcat of Charleston and got told he didn't know much about the machine and immediately wanted to tear off my heads and replace the gaskets...no, I could do that...I want it diagnosed correctly. It is very tough to start for the first time of the day...not sure how to use the glowplug? It has one single in the intake I believe, not sure. Is it button activated, or key to on and wait? The lh panel is missing one button and has a toggle switch I have no idea what it does. I'd really like to figure out how to get the glow plug activated, or if it's bad...I'll replace it when I find out where it is. I need the smoking to quit. It's sitting at superior diesel right now and they said the crankcase has pressure in it and it needs a complete rebuild. That sucks. Just praying someone has an old idea that may not be a rebuild. It's a 4 cylinder Duetz engine...machine serial is 514412616. Not sure but I think engine is the BF4M1011 turbo model. If any of you can get me a parts illustration...or help me figure out what the switches are and maybe something else to check....PLEASE, help. I'll post a few pics.....if someone can tell me how?
