I recently inherited a 6675 skid steer, and know very little about it. From what I've been told this was a New Holland tractor branded as JD back in the day. Using the 4 in 1 to move some dirt and pinched a hydraulic line. I had a new one made and installed it today. I lost quite a bit of oil and obviously need to add some. My question is, is there a dipstick or at least an overflow plug on this thing somewhere to know how much I need to add? Any help would be appreciated, I'm lost around a skid steer.

Look in the engine room for the hyd tank. If it is there like on a new Holland it will have high and low levels marked on it. It is the plastic tank up next to the firewall . New Holland says to use 10-30 motor oil.

And whatever oil goes in must be clean, they do not tolerate dirt well.

Thanks Jerry! I took the right side panel off where I could see the tank and found the high and low marks on it just like you said. I'm not sure how much it holds but I ended up adding over 3 gallons, so it must have been low before I busted the line. There's no way I lost that much, it was only the aux line that operates the clam for the 4 in 1 that I pinched. I appreciate your help, thank you again.

That is awfully low if it took that much. Keep a close eye on it and generally look for other leaks. Does it seem to operate good otherwise? You could take the chain case level plugs out that are down on the side between the wheels and see if they is overfull. It should be up to the hole. They take 10-30 also.
Did you get a book with it? Look behind the seat for a plastic pocket where the book would be.
If it is the same as the new Holland there are two gear reduction cases under the seat that should be checked also . You lift the seat to access them.

The 4in1 I got with it was wet with fluid on the left side where the hoses attach to the bucket when I got it. I tightened the nut on the loose hose and haven't noticed any further leaking. I don't know how long it had been leaking before I got it though so that could explain the fluid being that low if it had been leaking awhile. Maybe me busting and having to replace that line (it was the same one that I had to tighten) was a blessing in disguise. No, unfortunately I can't find a manual for it, I checked the pocket behind the seat. It seems to operate good and strong. It has a whine to it when u turn it, but from what I've heard that's pretty common of skid steers. Does that sound right to you? I'll also check the gear reduction cases under the seat. There's a small panel on each side between the wheels about a foot high by about a foot and a half wide. I assume those are the access panels for the chain cases? Thanks again for all your help.

You are welcome. When you check the gear reduction cases they get filled thru the little gooseneck with gear oil.75-90 I think.
Most of them make whines and growls , especially on turns , higher rpm does make it less.
