I'm looking at a 77 case 1845 Just had the motor rebuilt Looks decently maintained and has 3500 hrs Comes with a hoe forks bucket snowplow post hole digger This will all work we'll in my farm I see there is a decent amount if hydraulic fluid under the seat sitting on the belly pan Engine oil is overfilled by quite a bit I haven't had a chance to drive it or check the hydraulics while it's running Does this seem like a decent deal? And sorry I'm new to skid steers and don't know a whole lot I know a little bit about diesel mech from being in the Marines Thanks for the help

Sorry forgot to put the price in getting it for 5500
First of all I would not trust an hour meter on most machines esp older ones. I would think you are paying top $ for that old of a machine unless it is in excellent shape. Extra high oil level would be a concern to me. Hydraulic oil in the belly could be from loose connection to simple oring to hose about to let loose. I have oil leaking in my 90XT belly and i have looked for years and cannot find the source of the leak. I think the 1845 requires the axle bearings to be greased thru a grease fitting. Might be worth jacking up machine and "feeling" for wheel bearing play and play in the drive chains. Really would take someone who has experience working on these machines to know what to feel for. I think I know because I own a case machine and have had several wheel bearings go bad and even had to have an axle repaired.

I just reread your post with the attachments coming with the machine. It may be a good deal if the machine is in decent shape.
