I went to change the oil in my new to me LS180 and the drain plug just spins. I think if I remove the battery and battery tray I can possibly get to it easier. I am thinking of trying to pry it with a screwdriver while I unhread it? Has anyone else had this problem? If I get it out I guess I can get an oversized plug at NAPA or something? the hex head is 1" but does anyone know offhand what size the threads are, so maybe I can pickup a new plug before hand? thanks in advance!

It is a 3/4" -16 thread plug.
thanks, I was able to get the old one out, dropped the bottom plate, and used a tie-rod "pickle-fork" to apply outward pressure while spinning the bolt out with an impact gun. there were no threads at all on the bolt, and there are hardly any in the pan. I picked up a 3/4"-16 single oversize plug at napa for $3, came with a new gasket also. It's a touch bigger than the old one, and tapered so it should cut new threads when installing it for the first time. I am gonna put it in there tomorrow, hopefully it will seal and not leak....
