I have a case 1830 that I bought this summer. I put a set of used pumps off a another 1830 and ran it for about 20 hours. Then I broke the shaft of the swash/cam plate (right where it goes into the housing). This is on the front pump with the numbers 70142-rah stamped into it and 70111-302c cast into the outside of the housing. The swash plate has a casting number of 70111633f. So here's my question, Where is a good/cheap parts source that you guys recommend? Would any of you guys happen to have a used one I could buy? Also, the swash plate for the two pumps have the same casting number but are machined as mirror images of each other. Any help is greatly appreciated

LPS is a good start, the other way is to see if a machine shop can weld it back together for you.
Quality Hydrostatics in St Louis is a good goto for me localy. With the numbers you have they should be able to come up with something. one eight hundred 578 4851 They also have a web contact so your choice.

Took 1 tandem pump and 2 drive motors of the same and 1 OEM drive motor to Quality Hydrostatics for them for insp and quote, 4 weeks later got quote, opted for no repair, they returned items disassembled, which is ok but all parts from all components were mixed together. Would not recommend, the business is too big for the staff they have.

That is pretty poor service. They should get on to the quoting a lot faster than that and i'd like to have the parts together and not mixed up.

Hi have you resolved your problem,i am in the same situation and am hoping someone else has a fix.I have been working on taking the parts from a jd 2500 mower pump and working them into the case assembly 2 problems arose 1 the swash plate end is tapered so i had to rework the control arm and 2 the swash plate is design 2 so it is offset from the design 1 so you need to use modern design 2 back plate (the ones from the jd 2500 are only one pump operations so those back plates will not work) or rework the original ones.... this may work or may not try at your own risk.which is why i am making sure this is my only option by hoping someone has found a bunch of old swash plates laying around...ya right. The tapered end is a great design and will make the control arm wiggle a thing of the past. The parts brake down service repair instructions is on eaton site" google " eaton 70142" and the pdf should come up
