Hi all!! I am at a loss here!! I have a 2005 Case 410 skidsteer with 1200 hours on it. Recently it got hard to start. I would have to spin and spin and it would fire, then fire faster until it caught. Then it seemed fine! Started when warm no prob. Now I can't get it going. Fires but that's it... I have changed in the past couple months: started, alt, air filter, battery is newer but boosting when trying to fire it now, in line fuel filter, glo plugs, all fuses are fine in the fuse box. I confirmed that there is power to the glo plugs when cycled. My air filter was really really dirty and I have since changed it and I suspected that the inline filter off of the tank was dirty so I changed it, the top screw on filter was supposed to be changed 30 hours ago. Oil seems fine. Block heater works and I added a magnetic pan heater as well. I pulled the fuel hose off that feeds the injectors and there is lots of fuel. I just don't know!! I was leaning toward an injector problem. When i cycle the glo plugs after trying to spin a few times, they just go on and off, don't stay on. Anyone had issues like this????!!! Thanks so much!!

Pull the glow plugs and see if they glow all the way to the tip
I was assuming cause all 4 are new they would but it totally seems like the glo plugs aren't working even tho there is power when cycled. But I will check that!! What runs the glo plugs??? I ran the schematic in my shop manual but cant find what actually times the glo plugs. I see it is fed from the coil. Not even sure where that is located....

Never thought about the starter solenoid... I will swap that out and see.

Also make sure your aux hydro is not stuck on
Thanks Antfarmer2! It hasn't ran in a month and there is some snow to get blowing!! I will disconnect the aux hyd to be sure it isn't trying to spin!! Any idea where I would find the coil in the engine compartment? I can't find it in any of the books and can't trace the wire. Thanks again!!!!

But would take a peek by your feet by the battery
on the case site it shows heavy amperage relays in the fuse box, I would guess one feeds the glow plugs and looks like they may be interchangeable so you can check them by switching them around.

Thanks Jerry, its realky tough to get to wuthout raising the cab but i thought that the relay must be good being thatvi was getting 12v at the glow plug bar when cycled...

I never bled it after the filter change... I didnt know there was an actual bleeder. Do you know where it is by chance?
Make sure you have 12v at the glow plug bar for the full glow time in case the relay is kicking out too early.
