I have a Bobcat 334 excavator that wont release Aux pressure when changing from breaker to thumb or thumb to breaker. This is what I do, Turn machine off, turn on key set Aux hyd on move trigger on and off and joystick thumb control back and forth nothing happens, I have to drain pressure off system by taking hose loose at the attachment. Any help would be great.

Aux works fine, just can't get pressure off system to change hoses. Hoses will come off but will not go back on untill pressure is released.
Not cold, been trying to figure this out for a while. Hot weather cold does not matter. Bobcat shop has the deer in the headlight look?

Looks like you can just clean and replace
Do you think it could be the Hydraulic Accumulator, from what I understand that is what gives you pressure in case of engine failure so that say the boom can be let down, and maybe to give the aux valve pressure to release?

Once I turn off my machine the hyro are dead, only thing that will work is the blade, it will lower to the ground

That is why I have not touched it yet "PRESSURE RESERVOIR" Asked Bobcat shop about it " I don't know what that does" was the answer!
I won't be back to the machine till Monday, see if I can find and clean then. Thanks for the help

Haha...I don't know if you have same deal as me, but my 331 has two switches on right joy....a left-right toggle for thumb and barely discernible switch on front of joy(more of a raised patch on joy) that I occasionally hit by accident, which causes the thumb to close (guess it is the breaker switch - puts aux lines always on). I hit it again, and I get my thumb back. First time I hit it, it scared the crap out of me, as every time I used the toggle for thumb, I could get it to open (overpower the breaker switch), but wham, it would close again as soon as I released toggle.
