Hi Guys! I have a 2000 773 Turbo with the optional BESS security system and hand controls. Anyway, this machine has 400 hours and has been in a heated garage all it's life. We only use it to push snow. It pretty much looks new and has been serviced as it should be. Yesterday I was driving and the BICS unit began flashing all lights and the warning horn stayed on. It quit running immediately. Reading on this forum I suspected a bad ground or battery cable. I replaced the battery, both battery cables (with factory new), and cleaned all grounds along with the main Positive connection on both sides of the 100 AMP main fuse. I hooked everything back up and when I press the Enter button all the BICS lights flash and the warning horn beeps as well. There is no set amount that it flashes and beeps, and sometimes it never quits flashing and beeping. I went a step further and checked all the cannon plug and connections including those to the BICS and BESS and see no evident failures. The fuses are all good as well. I have 12.8 Volts at the accessory point point inside the cab. Before I call the Bobcat dealer to send a tech is there anything else obvious to troubleshoot? I don't mind paying for service, but really need this machine going now. Lot's of snow here. Thanks!!

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I did check all the fuses and they tested good. The fuse/replay box looks new inside with no corrosion, etc. I pulled out all the the relays and re-installed them, but do not know how to actually check them for proper function.

Can you swap the relays around?

Some other information. The right panel does not give me the option to enter the security code. When I hit the enter button the screen backlight comes on with no data. Prior to these failures that is when it would prompt you to enter a code and the left screen would also display "CODE." Now all I get is blank screens, blinking lights, and a the warning buzzer.

I did not try switching around the relays. Which ones would you suspect? The only one that I see could be a problem would maybe be "switch power?"

Switched around relays and did not help. The only wiring connections by your feet are the front warning horn and the parking brake. Both appear to be fine. I'm leaning toards a failed security system panel or possibly the BICS panel.

Well, I gave up and called the dealer. They are sending a tech to my shop in the morning. I lifted the cab as well and visually inspected all the wiring I could see. These machines are now just like the cars built today. Sensors, connectors, and wiring everywhere. It is a shame that equipment like this has to have all this crap. I betting on a failed left or right panel.

No Problem. I appreciate your help. I work on my airplane, helicopter, boats, etc with no problem as they are pretty much just mechanical machines. Anyone with a repair manual and the right tools can work on them. Our repair shop business works on modern cars, but it requires special equipment to diagnose. These Bobcats are now the same. All a guy can do is check the basics. After that you have no other choice but to call a dealership. Luckily, we have a really good dealship at Fort Wayne, IN Bobcat. I will post the results here.

Hi, it is the controller, I sent it over to isoscell for repair there is a 70% chance it can be repaired because of the way the controller is put together it sometimes gets damaged trying to pull it apart. Fingers crossed.

Keep us posted. I'm curious about how isoscell does.
