So I had to jack up my machine to fix a flat on the left rear today, and when I put the tire back on I noticed about a 1/4" of lateral play. I don't believe its a bearing because it only moves directly in and out when pulling evenly on each side of the tire. The play is coming from between the back side of the tire stud plate and the axel hub? I can feel the play directly behind the tire. Any suggestions? I am quite mechanicly inclined, but have no experience on skidsteers......maybe some form of lash adjustment???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reread is there a big nut or bolt on the outside center of the hub that could be tightend
No, there is no nut on the outside of the hub for adjustment. I'm going to pull the inspection plate off and drain the oil to check for any noticeable debris. Sounds like I might be able to make an adjustment to the retaining plate for the bearings......hopefully. Just waiting on some schematics from running. Hopefully caught it in time..... Any advice for taking the hub and drive chains off of an 2007 272c?
