Can someone explain to me what Detent mode is and one way flow mode. I have a TL130 and I am also new when it comes to newer skidsteers. What are the uses for these 2 modes and what applications would I need to use either one for? I think one way flow is only used for certain attachments, but I would like someone to put it in a more dumbed down explanation.

Detent is for when you need constant flow of oil to an attachment like an excavator attachment.
One way flow, not sure exactly how that would play a part in a machine, as when you use detent mode, it is one way.

Hi , Like ' TAZ " Says , the " Detent Mode " is To Turn On // lock the the AUX Hydro Flow... On Either Direction ,, ( Like the > Bobcat's < AUX HYdros - Right Joystick- Front Trigger _ Switch . The " One Way Mode " Switch , On A Takeuchi Is to "" Lock The Hydro Flow In One Direction Only,, Let' s Say,, You Are running A Brush/ Bush Hog Cutter ??? You Would Want To Keep It Spinning In the Same Direction >>>> ,,, If you were to Hit The Wrong Button ??? You Could Damage Something ((( Ask My Owner's Operator ,, He Broke A Swing Blade While Test Running It For Me ))) ... My TL140 And TL150 Have This Option , My operator"s Like to Push Button's,, they will Get it Locked in "" One_ Way _ Mode " And Find Them Selves stuck to Want ever They Have Grabbed On To < ( We Use Grapple Buckets To Pick Up Stuff ) " Do I Hear -_- RoadCall !! Hope This Helps , Later , Mark K.

When the one way flow ( Green button ) is lit, the flow of oil back from the attachment is supposed to go an easier route back to the cooler and tank. As in, the fluid does not have to go back through the spool valve. The solenoid operated valve is centerline between the cab and right over the engine. My question is , can anyone tell me if they run in detent ( yellow light) and one way ( green light) at the same time so to reduce oil temp while using , say a mower or road broom? Thanks, I am new to this forum. I sold my Cat dozer with Brown tree cutter and now have a Takeuchi TL140. The adventure begins! Jim ( Belzona Guy) Pedro, Ohio PS, I have shop manual and early parts manual for free if it will help anyone. I can e mail them as pdf files.

Add on ... Takeuchi finally admitted that the wiring set up will not allow one way operation when the detent button is on. So, forget the additional cooling idea. Unless, you rewire the bloody things with simple toggle switches.
